Tocayo Promotions Presents Grupo Presidio

Working with new clients is always an enjoyable experience. Growing up, I was introduced to Tejano music and have continued to follow events related to this genre. Recently, I connected with Tocayo Promotions to create a flyer for their event featuring Grupo Presidio and Eazy E Productions. I aimed to give the flyer a vibrant “nightlife” feel, so I incorporated stage lighting in the background with Grupo Presidio prominently featured in the center.

I had some difficulty finding a suitable photo of Grupo Presidio, but I eventually found one that showcased the bandmates together, which I decided to use. For the typeface, I wanted to evoke a sense of Western and Hispanic culture, so I chose a typeface with dramatic curves and paired it with a metallic gold color. I believe this combination conveys elegance while also reflecting the Hispanic heritage of this music genre.
